Paper airplanes never go out of style and they’re way more fun when you fold them with your kids. In this guide, we’ll show you 2 easy ways to fold paper airplanes using just an A4 sheet or colored paper and a few simple folds. These planes fly great and give your child a chance to build, play, and learn- all at the same time.

Materials:
- A4 paper or colored paper
- A flat surface and a little excitement
👉 Optional extras: Markers or stickers for decorating
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Model 1: The Classic Fighter Jet
This one has a sleek design and flies straight and steady. It’s perfect for beginners and easy for young kids to fold.
Basic steps:
- Fold the long side of the paper in half
- Fold the bottom corners up to the center line
- Fold the top corners to the center too
- Make a diagonal fold, then unfold it (this creates a guide)
- Fold the tip of the paper back along that line
- Fold both edges in toward the center
- Fold the nose up to the intersection
- Open the sides into small upright wings
- Fold the whole plane in half
- Fold the wings down, use the nose as a guide
- Slightly tilt the nose and fold again
- Flip and repeat
- Spread the wings wide and you’re ready for takeoff!
👉 Tip: Try flying this one indoors first. It glides nicely and keeps a straight path.
Model 2: The Speed Legend
It may look simple, but don’t underestimate it! This little flyer is built for speed.
In our test flights, it zoomed up to 45 km/h (maybe not officially but it feels that fast).
